Montreal, Canada quintet Horse Doctor released a new single a couple of days ago. Playa is the first composition from a series of singles the group plans to release every two months. The group started working on this song, thinking about what At The Drive-In would do with it. In the end, they managed to create a giant slab of harmonious noise that has tremendous energy. As the band stated, this is their shortest, happiest song to date, true to the At The Drive-In energy, so they picked it up as an overture for the series.

Horse Doctor explores various genres to achieve the desired sound. Besides the unquestionable dominance of post-hardcore, you may also stumble upon some other ingredients like post-grunge, grunge, indie rock, alternative rock, and nineties rock. The group succeeded by fully stacking these elements within one short composition, which bursts with excellent chord progressions and a dynamic rhythm section. It is also a perfect example of Horse Doctor’s improved sound, which will without any doubt blow you away. Playa is available for listening on all streaming platforms. Make sure to check it out.
