Saves The Witch - It's Dangerous To Go Alone, Take Me

It has been a while since I’ve heard anything from Saves The Witch. However, that doesn’t mean this prolific artist wasn’t active. Quite the contrary, he published a couple of singles since Dear Eden, such as Embers And Ashes and She Dances With Knives. Of course, there are previous recordings like War Never Changes and two full-lengths like Elements Of Alchemy and Sounds From A Burning Forest. I highly recommend all these works because everything Saves The Witch has put out sounds divine.

It’s Dangerous To Go Alone, Take Me is the recent single, published about two weeks ago. It’s one of those numbers that undoubtedly showcase the experience, creativity, and quality of an artist. Saves The Witch is famous for his experimentations with several complementary music genres, and It’s Dangerous To Go Alone, Take Me unquestionably embraces all of them. Perhaps this song explores the fundamentals of post-rock, but you’ll hear how cinematic ambient, shoegaze, dream pop, chillwave, chillout, downtempo, and indie-inspired Saves The Witch to compose and record such a mesmerizing number. Still, don’t be surprised if you stumble upon sonic ingredients borrowed from other music genres because this artist included many hidden gems along the way.

Saves The Witch

The composition commences with beautiful chord progressions, delicate melodies, and half-time rhythmic sequences. Saves The Witch keeps up It’s Dangerous To Go Alone, Take Me at the same pace from scratch to finish, and that particular move helps the listener to solely delve deep into a calm, relaxing, soothing ambiance. It’s simultaneously hypnotic, ear-appealing, and easy-listening composition that becomes even better with each new segment. The artist also included some cellos and synth sequences that shape the cathartic atmosphere even more, but he combined everything with so much sense of balance, harmony, and melody. It’s nearly mindblowing how he assembled this composition together, and there’s no doubt It’s Dangerous To Go Alone, Take Me will appeal to anyone into calm but progressive post-rock music. The single is available on all streaming platforms.
