One of the first crucial metal releases of 2023, The Decline is Turbid North’s first new release in seven years. The album melds punishing death-grind with crushing doom-rock and lustrous melody. Decibel Magazine has hailed it as “the meeting point between Black Sabbath and Napalm Death.”
Turbid North’s connection to Unearth runs deep: Unearth frontman Trevor Phipps released the band’s first two albums on his label, Ironclad Recordings, and bassist Chris O’Toole is a member of both bands.
