UK garage rock trio MuddiBrooke released a brand new single called Liverpool Guy today. The single announces their most advanced recording, Lunacy EP, set for a release on 22nd October. As the band stated, Liverpool Guy is their most punk rock composition ever, but you may hear some other genres included along the way. Perhaps MuddiBrooke explores dirty-sounding genres like garage rock, grunge, punk rock, but you’ll notice some interventions of alternative rock, hard rock, rock’n’roll, and classic rock as well. The trio handles all these elements like a charm, so their music sounds compact, heavy, and energetic. Liverpool Guy is living proof of how these genres work flawlessly together in harmony.

Liverpool Guy indicates how MuddiBrooke is a versatile group, and they’re not shy to try out all possible scenarios until they reach the desired sound. Besides colossal slabs of thoughtfully assembled noise, MuddiBrooke retained a melodic approach but also added some more heaviness to palm-muted riffs and chord progressions. Even the bass guitar and drumming performance sound more powerful, while all the vocal lines are coming like a cherry on the top. Liverpool Guy offers so many listening pleasures, and it is one of those tunes you’ll fall in love with if you’re into a flawlessly executed rock’n’roll sound. The single is available on streaming platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.
