Die Buben im Pelz have written yet another love song. This time, it’s about a self-destructive long-distance relationship that somehow brings a surprising amount of joy. About desire, lust and reckless abandon. And Berlin. Of course.
“Kleine Tode in Berlin” is the title of this little gem, the third and last single from their upcoming album “Menschen ohne Freunde”. Musically, it sits somewhere between dark indie rock, Viennese melancholy and a generous dose of The Cure. A goth anthem sung in Viennese dialect, then. You have to give them credit for that.
“Menschen ohne Freunde” will be released on October 30 via Noise Appeal Records. If you’d rather have the album sitting on your shelf than just streaming through your speakers, the LP and CD are already available for pre-order.
