Guest Directors, a shoegaze-adjacent indie rock band from Seattle, announces the 10-year anniversary of their first release, These Beautiful Things.
Released on August 12, 2016, this 4-song EP contains “powerful melodies, evoking sound walls, sometimes violent in dense ones and charged with melancholy, all of which generate connections with people of the caliber of a Swervedriver or Autolux.” (TBTCI). And NW Music Scene said “Guest Directors’ debut EP These Beautiful Things is jam-packed with ear-caressing reverb-soaked soundscapes, toned-down and mood-setting vocals, and really sharp songwriting all throughout its four tracks.”
Guest Directors worked with Tad Doyle (of legendary Seattle “grunge” band TAD) to record and produce these songs, lending a slightly heavier atmosphere than typical indie rock recordings
For the month of August 2026, the EP is available as pay-what-you-want in digital format and $1.00 plus shipping for CD, through both Bandcamp and Ampwall.
