Italian Metalcore Unit Awake For Days Returns With New Single “WAKE UP!”

Awake For Days return with their new single “WAKE UP!”, available from March 11th on all digital platforms. The track officially marks the beginning of a new artistic era for the band.

The metalcore/alternative metal outfit, formed in Nuoro, Sardinia, in 2013 by frontman Lukas Moore, has steadily built a strong reputation within the international scene, releasing two albums and several singles while performing on numerous stages across Europe and the United States. Among the most significant milestones of their career are two U.S. tours in 2019 and 2023 supporting American rock band Cold, as well as their appearance in Mexico at the renowned Hell and Heaven Festival, one of the largest rock and metal festivals in Central America. There, the band performed in the same line-up context as major acts such as Bad Omens, Slipknot and Guns N’ Roses.

With “WAKE UP!”, Awake For Days embark on a more direct and authentic artistic path, aiming to finally capture in the studio the same emotional intensity that has always defined their live performances. The single was produced and recorded by Lukas Moore at Sardinia Rock Studio, with additional production by Lorenzo Accattoli (guitarist and producer of Stain The Canvas). Mixing and mastering were handled by Federico Ascari (Within Destruction, Stain The Canvas, Halflives), who successfully translated this production vision into a powerful and engaging mix, fully enhancing the band’s sonic identity and finally meeting their artistic expectations.

From a sonic perspective, “WAKE UP!” highlights the musical versatility that has always characterized Awake For Days, blending alternative metal atmospheres, metalcore aggression, and a strong emotional impact. As frontman Lukas Moore explains: “With WAKE UP! we finally managed to capture our true essence, something that previously only happened during our live shows. Our fans from all over have been the first to say it – they welcomed the track in a very positive and engaging way, clearly noticing the difference between what we were before and what we are now”.

Lyrically, the song explores the concept of toxic control, telling the story of how certain individuals exploit their influence and authority to manipulate others, stripping them of their identity and turning them into tools to feed their own ego. The message of the song is clear: never give up who you truly are. “WAKE UP!” is a call to break free from the chains of manipulation and defend one’s emotional and personal independence. More than just a single, “WAKE UP!” represents a true turning point for Awake For Days, opening the door to a more conscious, intense, and personal artistic phase.
