Today Indonesian trio Grrrl Gang are excited to release their new maxi-single “Online 24/7” via Green Island Music (stream). In a world where our lives move “Online 24/7,” Grrrl Gang brings us the sound we most need to hear. More than just three songs, it’s a sonic journey through the cracks in our digital souls, from silent violence and system fatigue to fighting back with love.
“Online 24/7” is a record born from confusion, anger, and longing,” says Angee, the band’s vocalist and guitarist. “We wanted to capture what happens when our lives are split between the real and the online—how violence, loneliness, and intimacy change shape inside that space.”
The maxi-single opens with “O, My Love,” a track told from the perspective of a femicide victim. With piercing guitars and a haunting vocal, the song isn’t about ghosts, but about unanswered questions. It’s followed by “Lapdog,” a bitter critique of being the system’s “pet” in exchange for comfort at the cost of losing oneself. “This song is about the choices we make every day, when we click ‘agree’ to something that actually hurts us,” explains Edo, the band’s guitarist. It closes with “You & Me,” a track that believes the most private space can be the strongest form of rebellion against the big machine outside.
To mark the release, Grrrl Gang is also announcing their U.S. tour titled “Clocking In at the End of the World,” kicking off this March. “We’ve been waiting, and now we’re clocking in and opening a brand new chapter of noise,” says bassist Akbar about the tour’s spirit.

With a matured sound and poignant lyrics, Grrrl Gang proves that Indonesian indie music can not only compete on the global stage but also has something important to say. “Online 24/7” is about us, about what we see on our screens, what we hide in our rooms, and what we hope for in a world that feels increasingly fractured.
Grrrl Gang (Angee, Edo, Akbar) is an indie music trio from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Since their formation, they have been known for their electrifying live energy and blunt lyrics about everyday life, love, and the anxieties of a young generation. By blending influences from indie pop, 90s punk, and alternative rock, their sound is fresh yet nostalgic. After the success of their debut album, Spunky! they return with a work that is darker, more personal, and braver.
