Extra Time Released New Track “The Town Where Time Stood Still”

Extra Time isn’t what you would call a typical band. In fact, the four man writing team – Brendan  McNamara, David Curran, Joe Geranio and Greg Reilly have never all been in the same room together. We communicate via phone and email and come up with stories that we think would  make good songs. We love Pop and jazz. We love R&B and Rock. We love the Blues and Soul and we  try and sprinkle elements of all of this into the recipe. Once we have enough material together, we  enlist a group of talented musicians who have worked on both our albums and give them demos  and charts to interpret live in the studio. We record in the old-fashioned way with a band playing live  to 2” tape. We don’t use a click track, we don’t do edits and we don’t do Autotune. It’s human performance warts and all. Could it be better? Could we sit their and perfect it? Yes, we could but  we believe it would lose the vibe. Lose the magic of musicians communicating live in the moment. It’s a strange way of working but that’s what works for us.
