The new single is not only a political commentary, but also shows humorous facets of the Good Riddance singer. The acoustic punk piece is the second harbinger of the album “Come Together, Fall Apart” – release date January 28!
Without a doubt, Russ Rankin was and is one of the most influential frontmen in punk of the last 30 years. With Good Riddance and numerous other projects, he set the agenda for the worldwide punk scene. On his solo albums, Rankin continues to refine his songwriting: not only does he explore social and political issues, but he also delves deep into the melancholic depths of love and personal loss. With seasoned skill and unflinching honesty, his songs seek to understand and embrace the inner turmoil of the human condition – always with a passionate desire to defend the best in us. His rough voice, by now an unmistakable trademark, becomes at the same time a mouthpiece for social justice and animal protection – and this far beyond the borders of the punk scene.
