Mullingar, Ireland post-punk duo Movment recently released a brand new single. We All Must Go promotes Transformation, a recently released full-length album. For those who missed our previous posts, Movment is a post-punk duo that goes far beyond the classic aesthetics of the genre. The presence of post-punk sound is unquestionably there, but the band incorporates some other ingredients as well. Therefore, you may stumble upon complementary genres such as goth rock, alternative rock, and indie rock. All these ingredients play a significant role in their music, and We All Must Go represents a perfect example of how these genres intervene altogether in harmony.
Movment have always expressed themselves through suitable music, so there’s no exception with this particular composition either. We All Must Go reveals a slightly slower tempo decorated with a gothy theme performed on a guitar, while the vocals are amplified to the max. Therefore, the focus is solely on the theme of the song. The duo tries to create a specific ambiance that continuously levitates between post-punk and goth rock, but they also somehow manage to stack other musical interests within the song. We All Must Go is available for listening on all streaming services.
