Irish post-punk duo Movment recently shared their second single named Leave Me Alone. This particular composition announces Transformation, the upcoming full-length record set for a release on December 2 this year on Distort The Scene. Besides the original version, this release comes with an electro version and the accompanying video for an original song. Movment explores the aesthetics of the eighties post-punk sound, but you may also notice a strong presence of darkwave, especially in the electro version. The duo also incorporates a decent dosage of indie rock into their sound, but post-punk remains the primary direction of the group. Movment solely relies upon heavy guitar tones, equally powerful synths, and an energetic rhythm section. The lead vocals are levitating between melodic chants and shouting, so this singing style perfectly suits the sonic aesthetics of the song.
Both versions of Leave Me Alone were recorded at the End Of Light Studios, Mullingar, Ireland. They were produced and mixed at Miloco, London, and mastered by Jerome Schmitt at The Airlab. The single is available on streaming services, while the video is available for watching on YouTube.
