There are tons of brilliant indie rock artists and bands out there, doing the best they can to shine bright in the spotlight. The vast majority of these artists and bands are surprisingly good, defying the separation between quality and quantity. However, most of these outlets are sounding nearly identical, without striving to deliver something fresh and unique on the continuously expanding indie rock scene. Therefore, a lot of these artists will never reach broader auditorium and commercial success. Fortunately enough, Arda & The Stolen Moon has the potentials to become the next big thing thanks to her brand new full-length recording called Outsider in Perpetual Motion. Previously, Arda & The Stolen Moon released an interesting debut album named Minutes In Years, released on vinyl record and compact disc. However, Outsider In Perpetual Motion showcases tremendous progress comparing to its predecessor.

Outsider In Perpetual Motion carries nine delicate indie rock compositions. Perhaps the indie rock sound dominates throughout the entire material the most, but Arda & The Stolen Moon involves some other elements in her ear-appealing music. You may hear ingredients such as alternative rock chord progressions, subtle arpeggiated indie pop segments, sophisticated folk-rock accentuations, reverby shoegaze, and dream pop ambiances. At some points, you’ll notice a strong involvement of psychedelic pop, post-rock, and commercial pop music, but these elements are serving more as additions in order to spice things up a little bit more. All the beforementioned ingredients are shaping up the sophisticated, detailed, complex sound of Outsider In Perpetual Motion, which unquestionably offers loads of listening pleasures from scratch to finish.

Right with the initial beats, you’ll notice Arda’s impressive singing/songwriting/composing abilities. Her voice carries the listeners through an endless psychedelic indie-rock universe, fully stacked with ear-appealing chants, delightful verses, and catchy choruses. The guitar tone seems programmed or processed through some music software, and maybe it lacks some more organic distortion that will properly embrace Arda’s beautiful chants. However, clean/acoustic guitars are undoubtfully organic, and their appearance properly decorates the remaining portion of the ambiance. There are some moments where the generic electric guitar tones are giving a characteristic flavor to the songs, so maybe these additions are implemented with a purpose. Whatever may be the case, Outsider In Perpetual Motion sounds and appears like a thoroughly planned amalgam of sophisticated indie rock tunes. The official release date of Outsider In Perpetual Motion is reserved for late May, but you can check out the first single on her Bandcamp page. Until then, keep your eyes peeled on streaming services and her official website.
