It is inconceivable hard to sound unique in a sea of good d-beat / crust bands, but Pillars are the living proof everything is possible. The band has managed to pack d-beat crust, stoner, sludge, doom metal and who knows what more in eight well arranged tracks and the sound is incomparable with the rest of the scene by avoiding already checked patterns particulary familiar to this genre. Just imagine a situation where someone gives the musical instruments to the people who never played this genre before and they invent someting new and beautiful, but on the other hand very aggressive and chaotic. Cover artwork is simple, but effective solution that perfectly reflects the sound of Pillars, with bunch of crossed branches and old houses on the both sides. Dark, darker, Pillars.
