Hardcore project Mental Gymnast releases “The Lowest Bar,” the lead single from their second EP, calling for empathy over cynicism.
Hardcore outfit Mental Gymnast have shared “The Lowest Bar,” the lead single from their second EP. Formed by members across Binary Heart, Dissidente, and Sarah and the Safe Word, the project originated from a conversation at The Fest between frontman Adam Gecking and producer Scotty Sandwich.
Featuring bassist Erica Clayton, keyboardist Chris Ruckus, and guitarist Jon Greco, “The Lowest Bar” confronts modern cynicism, advocating for kindness and sincerity in a difficult world. Following up on July’s scene-focused track “IN4U,” this single paves the way for the group’s complete second EP, released on August 14, 2026. Notably, despite releasing multiple projects, the band members are meeting in person for the first time this month to record EP 3. Stream “The Lowest Bar” now.
