Canadian alt-country duo Rivertown has captured the seasonal mood perfectly with their beautiful new single, “Snow in June.” Based out of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, the project consists of singer-songwriter Jennifer Carswell on vocals, acoustic guitar, and keyboards, alongside veteran musician Eddie Krajsek on guitars, bass, and percussion.
“Snow in June” brilliantly displays Rivertown’s signature blend of roots, pop, rock, and classic Canadiana. Driving acoustic rhythms are paired with soaring, melodic electric guitar lines and Carswell’s soft, wonderfully reedy vocal delivery. Influenced by legends like Gordon Lightfoot and Blue Rodeo, the duo’s earthy, poetic songwriting shifts effortlessly from pleasant, open-road anthems to full-of-heart acoustic ballads. Currently hard at work self-producing in the studio, Rivertown expects to drop their highly anticipated debut full-length album in late 2026. “Snow in June” is available to stream today.
