Los Angeles genre-defying pioneers Fishbone will kick off the In Your Face Tour on April 9, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album In Your Face. The tour coincides with the release of the In Your Face / Cover Your Face 40th Anniversary Limited-Edition Double LP Reissue, available HERE.

The limited-edition release features Disc One, a newly remastered version of In Your Face (originally released in 1986), and Disc Two, Cover Your Face—a newly curated tribute album showcasing artists from across the globe reimagining Fishbone classics.
The tribute album continues to expand, now rounding out its tracklist with newly announced CD and digital-only contributions from Bite Me Bambi, who take on “Cholly,” and Open Mike Eagle, who delivers his own twist on “Knock It.” Previously announced contributors include Twin Shadow, Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), Catbite, Wheatus, The Ratchets, Silversun Pickups, Kimya Dawson, comedian Dave Hill, and Doom Regulator.
“When I was 15, I saw Fishbone play a free show at Tower Records in Anaheim. The best way to describe the band at that time was transcendent. I had never seen a band do so much on stage. In that crowd that day were members of No Doubt, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Save Ferris, My Superhero, the Knuckle Brothers, and I’m sure others. We started our first band shortly after and have been playing in some form ever since. Bite Me Bambi is honored to be included in this tribute.”

Reflecting on the milestone, Fishbone’s Christopher Dowd shares: “Celebrating 40 years of In Your Face is surreal. That record was our introduction to the world, and to see it still resonate with people and to hear these incredible artists reinterpret it on Cover Your Face is something we’re deeply grateful for.”
At each tour stop, Fishbone will perform In Your Face in its entirety—an immersive, full-album live experience—followed by a second set packed with career-spanning fan favorites. Tickets are available now at TOUR – Fishbone.
