Following on from ’echoes’, the band’s last release, ‘pumpkins’ is the most ambitious track falselove have created. The track takes you on a rollercoaster through melody reminiscent of early 00’s emo, brutal breakdowns, a stadium sized bridge and the band’s trademark ‘hell of a chorus’.
Vocalist Jacob Eynon explains, “This song is a real favourite for me and by far the most challenging track on the record to pull off. It blends the musical elements of everything I love and really showcases the musicality of the band. It blends our Metalcore influences with our Pop and Emo influences. It feels fresh and new but also gives a nod to all the bands that have inspired us. I think this is going to surprise a few people, in the best possible way!”.
Jacob describes what people can expect from ‘this time will haunt us’.
“We really poured blood, sweat and tears into this record and we’re so proud of it. It’s a culmination of 2 years of work laid out for everyone to see. It’s the epitome of the record that I’ve always wanted to create, an amalgamation of Pop, Hardcore, Emo and Metal. We’re living in a time where these genres of music can coexist in a space together, and that’s a really exciting space to be in. This record is genuinely really exciting and fresh, I feel like this is really the start of something. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it and I hope they give it a chance!’
