The Listros – Hands Against The Wall

Hands Against The Wall” is the latest single by The Listros, a Toronto-based band. It’s the first single in 2024 that serves as a perfect follow-up to “Into The Otherside,” another exceptional song released last year. The song talks about the intense desire for someone in a toxic relationship that is, more or less, driving them crazy. Soundwise, The Listros nurture such a powerful, heavy, aggressive sound achieved by combining many different but complementary music genres. Perhaps grunge comes to mind, but you’ll notice how some other styles found their way into this sonic equation. Don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some of the finest properties borrowed from alternative, hard rock, indie rock, or metal because these folks fully stacked their second single with it. The Listros use all these additional elements as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details to uplift their song on an entirely new level, while they simultaneously remain loyal to the primary sonic direction. Therefore, these experimentations with different but complementary music genres resulted in a catchy, energetic, powerful track that will appeal to the fans of the mentioned music genres and beyond.

Of course, this composition wouldn’t sound powerful without equally complex, vividly hearable, warm-sounding basslines that offer more than necessary heaviness, depth, and clarity. The outstanding drumming performance based upon energetic, well-accentuated beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics dictates groove and pace but also keeps the remainder of the instrumentaitons in line.

From the entire song structure, multilayered segments, and exceptional instrumentations to even the tiniest nuances and details, The Listros exemplify how grunge and alternative rock music should sound in 2024. “Hands Against The Wall” is a display of heaviness, aggression, and power, so you should check out this magnificent track as soon as possible.
