Pranatricks – Birds And The Bees

Birds and the Bees” is a brand new track by Pranatricks, a Canadian indie rock artist. It’s the fifth song in the series of singles that serve as a sneak peek into “Elements of,” an upcoming second full-length album slated for release in April next year. “Birds and the Bees” serves as a perfect follow-up of “Johnny Self,” “Cor-al,” “Cherished,” and “Lights & Machines,” four magnificent tracks Pranatricks released earlier this year. Soundwise, Pranatricks explores many music genres to illustrate perfect sonic imagery. Perhaps indie rock comes to mind first, but don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some of the finest properties borrowed from indie pop, alt-pop, alternative, rock, psych-rock, etc. These additional elements serve as more than necessary decorations that unquestionably enhance this track on an entirely new level while the artist simultaneously remains loyal to the primary sonic direction. Of course, all these experimentations resulted in a mesmerizing track that will suit even the pickiest indie rock fans.

As soon as you press play, you’ll notice how Pranatricks cleverly assembled the entire song structure. “Birds and the Bees” carries many jaw-dropping moments where Pranatricks’ ideas and musicianship shine in the limelight. You’ll hear how his exceptional vocal performance emphasizes all the instrumentations with perfectly balanced low, mid, and high notes. The dual vocal channels give a more anthemic and cathartic feel that undoubtedly contributes to the psychedelic rock aspect of the song, while the instrumentations serve as a perfect backdrop for all these articulations. The delicate, subtle, flawlessly arranged, arpeggiated, and regular chord progressions also contribute to that psychedelic vibes, while the vividly hearable, equally complex, warm-sounding basslines provide more heaviness, depth, and clarity. It’s good to mention that the brass leads, themes, and accentuations come as a cherry on the top that decorate, uplift, and emphasize particular segments of the song, while the outstanding rhythmic sequences based upon moderate beats, breaks, and fills keep remaining instrumentations in line.

Pranatricks once again delivers a magnificent psych-rock-inspired indie song that will appeal to all the fans of the genre and beyond. His ability to fully stack the singular number with so many layers of cleverly composed orchestrations goes beyond comprehension many times throughout the entire song. His experience, knowledge, skills, ideas, and musicianship are on full display here, and “Birds and the Bees” will instantly become your favorite indie track. The single is available on all streaming services. Don’t miss it!
