Since their formation in 1978, Rattus have toured in 25 different countries all around the world. Nowadays Rattus is one of the most legendary Finnish punk bands and have been a huge influence for bigger artists like Sepultura and Municipal Waste.
10 years since their last LP ”Turta”, the Finnish punk veterans Rattus release a new album ”Rikki”, which contains 13 catchy tracks of distinctive trashy hardcore punk. ”Rikki” is also Tomppa`s (bass) farewell album as he decided to retire after playing 45 years with Rattus.
The LP comes with a bonus CD ”Laulajat On Sairaita” including 8 Rattus classics tracks performed by well-known Finnish guest vocalists: Marko Annala (Mokoma), Jouni Hynynen (Kotitellisuus), Vesku Jokinen (Klamydia), Jarkko Martikainen (YUP), Otto Luotonen (Força Macabra), Villu Tamme (J.M.K.E.) and V-V Tomminen (Ivian).
Physical release date: November 13th of 2023 by Finnish Hardcore. Physical copies available on limited edition trans-magenta vinyl & on classic black vinyl. ”Rikki” LP is also accompanied by the long-awaited reissue of Rattus ”Rajoitettu Ydinsota” 7” EP.
