King Crash – Together (Merry Maker)

NYC psych-rock sensation King Crash recently released a brand-new single called “Together (Merry Maker).” It’s an adequate continuation of previous standalone singles and full-length recordings like NYC Lockdown Tour, King Crash, and June Snow. Soundwise, King Crash combine the fundamentals of psych rock with some of the finest properties borrowed from complementary music genres like garage rock, rock ‘n’ rock, art rock, indie rock, punk rock, etc. These experimentations resulted in a song characterized by a rich and luxurious ambiance that will immediately appeal to even the pickiest fans of the aforementioned music genres. It’s also good to mention that “Together (Merry Maker)” showcases all the experience, creativity, talent, brilliant ideas, and musicianship of this exceptional NYC psych rock band, as they poured so much time and effort into making this composition so catchy, fresh, and unique.

As soon as you press play, you’ll immediately notice that flawlessly vocal harmonies are the centerpiece of the track. Ryan Shivdasani’s perfect balance between low, mid, and high notes emphasizes everything this experienced artist tried to achieve with the latest single. The tastefully distorted, fuzzy, abrasive leads, riffs, and chord progressions serve as a perfect backdrop for his vocal performance, and you’ll hear how every segment carries some impressive sonic maneuvers that will instantly get into your listening apparatus. These orchestrations immediately evoke that famous seventies NYC rock ‘n’ roll sound, but the band also incorporated some modern instrumentations that make “Together (Merry Maker)” even more complex and ear-appealing.

The cleverly assembled, vividly hearable, warm-sounding bass support guitars with intricate low-end notes, but also serves as a binding component between this guitars and energetic drumming performance based upon well-accentuated beats, catchy breaks, hectic fills, and other percussive acrobatics. Each band member plays a significant role in shaping such a mesmerizing atmosphere where vocals, distortion, and rhythmic sequences define the structure of this outstanding psych-rock track. King Crash thoroughly planned every detail while assembling this fine piece of rock ‘n’ roll artistry, so this track shines with many impressive instrumentations, surprises, and other sonic delicacies. It stands out from the remainder of contemporary psych rock or garage rock tracks you’ll hear nowadays, mainly because King Crash go straight to the point and deliver premium ideas and musicianship without obeying any rules of these genres. With “Together (Merry Maker),” they somehow revitalized those genres by investing all their heart and soul into this exceptional song. It’s one of the best psych-rock tracks this year and you’ll gladly place it on your rock playlist. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it.
