Drifter sees Dreamwave sharpen their identity, leaning into driving rhythms, jagged guitars, and the restless energy that’s become synonymous with their live shows. It sits firmly on the heavier, more immediate edge of their catalogue — music made for packed rooms, late nights, and repeat spins.
Having built momentum across the UK and Europe, this double EP captures the band at a pivotal point — bridging past and present while pushing their sound forward with intent.
Recorded at Nine Volt Leap, Bath, and mastered by LOUD (Dry Cleaning, Massive Attack, Radiohead), Over You captures Dreamwave’s blend of garage rock urgency and acid-punk edge, channelling their hazy psychedelic atmosphere into something immediate, direct, and punchy.
While rooted in Bristol’s thriving psych and garage rock scene — working closely with Gravy Train, Velvet Echoes, and Down Stokes — Dreamwave are rapidly breaking beyond the South West. Following standout appearances at Left of the Dial Festival Rotterdam (NL) and Block Party (FR), the band are set to take their live energy back on the road with a UK tour 2026, including key dates in Bristol, and London, as well as a return to the Deaf Institute to debut at Manchester Psych Fest 2026 on the Sour Grapes Records stage, with further festival shows to be announced.
Having shared stages with the likes of Wine Lips, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, and The Bug Club, Dreamwave sit firmly at the forefront of a new wave of Bristol bands pushing psychedelic rock into louder, weirder, and more playful territory.
For fans who like to dance at the back or are built for the more chaotic front row, Over You is the perfect final transmission before Drifter touches down as a garage rock vinyl release and psychedelic rock EP UK on vinyl.
Dreamwave are a diverse psychedelic rock group from Bristol, South West England, known for their explosive live presence, playful personality, and genre-blurring songwriting. Drawing from garage rock, acid punk, and dream pop, the band move effortlessly between raw, high-energy performances and soft, floating moments of introspection.
