Swears Released New Track “Bare Bones”

‘Bare Bones’ is the new single from emerging UK alternative rock band SWEARS. A rhythmically pounding, anthemic rock n’ roll track, it takes you into the dark and murky world of SWEARS, describing a late-night drive undertaken as a desperate escape attempt by a narrator at breaking point. Aimless and futile yet raw and urgent, he finds his very being stripped down to its ‘bare bones’ at a moment of ‘outstanding understanding’.

‘Bare Bones’ was recorded at All Silk Recording Studio, Rawtenstall, and tracked, mixed and mastered by Ed Hall (of All Silk Mastering House).

SWEARS are an alternative rock band from Middlesbrough (UK), drawing influences from grunge, punk, doom, and pop. Formed in 2017, the band consists of Joel Clayton, brothers George and Stephanos Louca, and Tom Gingell.

SWEARS have been featured on a number of local and national radio shows such as BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, as well as international stations including Fauve Radio in Hong Kong, Amazing Radio US and Banks Radio Australia. The band has appeared in an acoustic session on BBC Radio Tees, performing live on the celebrated BBC Introducing show, as well as filming a live session on Black Square Sessions, released on Amazon Prime Video.

SWEARS have played some of the North East’s biggest festivals, including the BBC Introducing Stage at both This is Tomorrow Festival (Newcastle) and Hardwick Live Festival. Other festival appearances include Hit the North (Newcastle), Stockton Calling, Music Box Festival (Darlington), Indie Week Festival (Manchester), Stockton Stages, and Heelapalooza (Middlesbrough).

SWEARS have landed support slots for established touring bands such as: Salem, James and the Cold Gun, Daytime TV, Broken Hands, Strange Bones, Rascalton, False Heads, Allusinlove, Gloo, The Pearl Harts, and are looking to book shows all over the UK and beyond.
