The Sweet Serenades Drop New Single & Video “Don’t Cry”

The Sweet Serenades

“‘Don’t Cry’ is a road trip song. Made for dancing in the kitchen or on the living room floor. It’s a simple song about complicated things. It’s a happy and upbeat song about depression. I grew up listening to Guns ‘n Roses, even though I haven’t listened to them in a couple of decades it feels great to borrow the title of one of their hits”
-Martin Nordvall – The Sweet Serenades

It’s been three years since Swedish one man-band The Sweet Serenades latest album release City Lights. An album filled with dark synths and programmed beats that got more than 2,5 million streams on Spotify. Now the band is back with a more playful sound and a more guitar-based album.

Driving drums, a catchy guitar riff and a playful synth will follow you through the track. While his partner struggles with depression, singer- and songwriter Martin Nordvall pleads out in the chorus “tell me baby you’ll be alright – Oh I don’t want you to cry.” The feeling you have when you want to fix something but you just don’t have the tools.

“Don’t Cry” is the first single from the band’s forthcoming fifth album Everything Dies. It’s the second collaboration with award winning producer Johannes Berglund (Fever Ray, Shout Out Louds).
