Postcard – Don’t Tell Me

Are you looking out for some fresh indie tunes empowered by the wondrously performed chord progressions? Well, you’re in the right place because today I will talk about an excellent debut single by Rochester-based indie act named Postcard. This profoundly talented artist used heavy weaponry while assembling Don’t Tell Me, so you will unquestionably stumble upon beautiful arpeggiated chord progressions and energetic rhythmic maneuvers. The layer of warm-sounding low-end tones is coming right beneath the guitars, but you’ll hear how the bass guitar empowers the ambiance with its presence. Even the sound of the guitar is quite distinctive. It immediately resembles the fifties surf rock, rock’n’roll, and eighties indie music, and it perfectly suits the dynamics of this song.

What also makes things even more interesting is that Postcard wrote, composed, recorded, and produced his debut song, and considering the quality, the artist nails it right from the start. Perhaps the artist dominantly leans towards the contemporary sound, but you may stumble upon other ingredients along the way. Therefore, you may notice mid-eighties to mid-nineties indie rock music, some elements of indie pop, the beforementioned surf rock, and rock’n’roll, but also some properties of power pop as well. There are many reasons why you should check out this song. You’ll place this track on your playlist as soon as you listen to it. Don’t Tell Me is available for listening on all streaming platforms.
