The opening track, “Postcard,” immediately grabs the listener’s attention with its exceptional vocal performances, both from the female and male vocalists. The heavily distorted riffs, pleasant melodies, and equally noticeable basslines create a rich and satisfying sound, while the drumming performance is groovy and complements the other instruments perfectly. The song is well-structured, with each segment bursting with magnificent orchestrations. The guitars and bass are tight and unified, producing a colossal wall of mesmerizing sound, while the drummer delivers an energetic and well-accentuated performance, driving the song forward with intensity. Once again, the vocals shine brightly in the mix, with a particular focus on the female vocals. “Stay Free Old Strangers” has an anthemic feel that will surely appeal to punk rock fans, with its raw energy and memorable melodies. The production quality is top-notch. The instruments are well-balanced, and the vocals are mixed in a way that allows them to shine without overpowering the rest of the music. The record has a raw, yet polished sound, allowing the nuances of each instrument to be heard clearly, while the overall production captures the essence of Adore’s sound and showcases their musical talents effectively.
