After releasing their debut EP “Break Apart the Sun” in January, Idle Minds is back again with a more vulnerable single & stunning music video. This is the first single the Cleveland based band has written as a cohesive group and is an honest representation of where they want to go with their sound.
“Halo” is a song that I think a lot of people can connect with. It describes a vulnerable state of being so open & comfortable with someone. I think we need that right now. The ability to let go and let ourselves be loved” says Trevor Stout. The music video showcases them as a full band now that they’re fully functional. The lighting & framing sets a certain vibe for the song.
Idle Minds consists of Trevor Stout (vocalist), Tom Stankiewicz (rhythm guitarist), Chase Alder (bassist), Scott Lewis (lead guitar), and Chris Walter (drums). Their personal influences are so varied, but the small places where they overlap would be bands like: Superheaven, Citizen, Thrice, Deftones, Basement, Teenage Wrist, etc. Stout says, “We’re just making the kind of music that we like to listen to and I think that’s pretty cool.” If you want to catch this new song live, they have a show coming up on July 28th, at Mahall’s in Lakewood, Ohio, with Tuskie and New Vision.
