Saddleworth, UK indie rock quartet Plain Navy recently released another marvelous single that will unquestionably suit all the fans of indie sound. Livin’ Alone is their third single that comes right after Facing Me and Symphony. The group also recently signed to 42’s Records, and Livin’ Alone is the result of their collaboration. As the group stated, Livin’ alone is a composition that talks about the isolation and creeping mental health of contemporary society, stuck in a lockdown caused by the neverending global pandemic. Plain Navy wanted to share their thoughts about the current situation through an ear-appealing song. It is a mental shock for their generation, and the song expresses their desire to get back to regular life, and hangouts with friends in clubs and music venues.
Perhaps you might think Livin’ Alone sounds depressive because of the theme covered in the song, but it is not the case. Quite the contrary, the group offers a cheerful, catchy, danceable, pleasant number, which thoroughly explores all the indie aesthetics. Despite being a young band, Plain Navy sound like experienced musicians with decades of playing behind their backs, so you should check out their new single as soon as possible. Livin Alone is available for listening on all streaming platforms.
