Winnipeg grunge punkers Death Cassette have announced an official release date for their upcoming album entitled Cheaper To Die that will be released via High End Denim Records on November 13.
The Death Cassette’s record will be pressed on Red with Black Smoke Vinyl and will also be available on Pee Records (AUS), Engineer Records (UK), Scene Police Records (GER), Taco Cat Records (US) and Punk Rock Radar (US). The band previously released the title track as well as a music video for the track
Death Cassette has this to say about the new song: “Clutter is a single that has a pop punk feel with honest lyrics about overthinking everything especially when it pertains to someone you are crushing on. The line “Feels like my favourite show on repeat but you’re stuck behind the screen” is a singalong that captures the essence of the lyrical theme.
“Clutter deviates from our norm though still within our wheelhouse of pop punk works such as “Regrets” from our first album. In a live set this song will give the audience a break from a mosh pit and a chance to dance and sing along. Clutter may also appeal to a more mainstream punk audience that listens to the likes of bands we have played with in the past such as Pkew Pkew Pkew and PUP.”
