DC hardcore legends SCREAM are back in Europe this summer, playing a handful of dates around their Rebellion appearance, including a London show.
Originally formed across the Potomac in Alexandria VA in 1981, Scream were the first on the scene to release a full-length album on DC’s legendary Dischord label, in the form of ’83’s Still Screaming album. The band would go on to become a training ground for a teenage Dave Grohl prior to his stint in Nirvana.
Splitting in 1990, the band reformed in 2009, releasing the Grohl-produced Complete Control Recording Sessions EP in 2011, followed by the full-length DC Special in ’23, the last release for original drummer Kent Stax, who passed away in September that year.
The current band features original members Pete Stahl (vocals), Franz Stahl (guitar) and Enoch Thompson (bass), along with ex-Battery drummer Andrew Black and UK punk legend Gizz Butt (ex-Prodigy, English Dogs) on guitar.
The band kick the shows off with an appearance at Italy’s DLB festival at the end of July, arriving at Rebellion on 6th August and London’s New Cross Inn on the following night. Full dates are…
