Seattle-reared indie artist Dusty Lucite has released a striking new single titled “The Gloss of Unshed Tears (In Paul Giamatti’s Eyes).” Fronted by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist H.L. Stratton-Kuhta, the project is heavily influenced by 90s grunge and alt-rock staples like Nirvana and Radiohead.
This latest track gives fans an exciting preview of their upcoming fifth LP, Shmaltz. Keeping the production completely in the family, Stratton-Kuhta is backed on drums by her husband, N. Kuhta, while her son, E.A. Kuhta, co-wrote and played keys on the track, bringing a distinct Stevie Wonder-inspired groove to the mix. Following their previous climate-focused collaboration with director Adam McKay’s Yellow Dot Studios, Dusty Lucite continues to deliver raw distortion combined with witty, emotionally honest lyricism. Check out the new track on all streaming networks now.
