Ahead of the album’s June 5th release date, its pummeling second single “Häxan Hammer” arrives. Pete Morcey comments: “‘Häxan Hammer’ is the only complete 100 Demons song making it to the new release that was actually written many years ago. Dealing with post apocalyptic themes and how an ‘end of the world scenario’ could bring together the most unlikely of alliances.”
Embrace the Black Light opens without losing any of the band’s signature ferocity. Elsewhere, the album stretches without losing its footing, adding texture and dimension to an album that earns every moment of its runtime. Mastered by Will Putney of Graphic Nature Audio and featuring the artwork of James Bousema, the LP features guest vocals from Twitching Tongues/God’s Hate members Colin Young and Taylor Young.
For over 25 years, 100 Demons have stood as one of hardcore’s most uncompromising forces— a band built on raw conviction and a sound that refuses to be boxed in. With Embrace the Black Light, their long-awaited third album incoming on Closed Casket Activities, Connecticut’s own deliver twelve tracks that push the boundaries even further [pre-order].
