Melbourne-based roots and Americana band FINN, led by brothers Mark and Luke, has announced their forthcoming 11-track album, Control, slated for release on Friday, August 7. Recorded at Woodstock Studios and mastered by GRAMMY-winner Gavin Lurssen, the album adds to a distinct catalog the band has been building since 2008.
Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the lead single and title track, “Control.” Driven by organ, guitars, and banjo, the track possesses a buoyant energy that masks a quieter, underlying tension. According to the band, the song introduces the album’s central theme: questioning how much of life we actively shape versus what simply unfolds around us. It is a warm, organic exploration of the search for stability in an unpredictable world, showcasing the collaborative musicianship of their longtime lineup.
