PREMIERES

Premiere: Dismiss Share “Trap” From ‘Lost Transmissions: 1995-1996’

Thoughts Words Action is proud to host the exclusive premiere of “Trap,” a blistering artifact from the formative years of Peoria, Illinois’ finest. Before the legendary Planes Mistaken For Stars redefined the landscape of post-hardcore, there was Dismiss, a project defined by raw attitude, heavy distortion, and a relentless sense of urgency.

“Trap” captures the band at breakneck speed, balancing a wry snarl with surprising melodic hooks. This track is a standout from the upcoming collection, Lost Transmissions: 1995-1996, which unearths previously unreleased demo recordings featuring the iconic lineup of Gared O’Donnell, Matt Bellinger, Jamie Drier, and Mike Johnson.

Pre-order vinyl at Snappy Little Numbers or Rad Girlfriend Records

For fans of the late Gared O’Donnell’s singular vocal intensity, this is a vital piece of punk history. It’s a document of the transcendent energy that would eventually shape a generation of underground music.

Stream “Trap” below and experience the foundation of a legacy.
