Dutch melodic hardcore punk group Rites premieres new single and lyric video for “No Change Without Me”. You can check it out below.
“There’s a lot happening in the world. We long for a better future, but are we willing to put ourselves out there to make it happen? Change is something both desired and feared by many. There’s no denying that it can be difficult, but it’s also necessary if we want to live in a sustainable way. It’s easy to dig your head in the sand and pretend everything is fine, or to wait until others take initiative. The sometimes uncomfortable thruth is however that you can take the first step. There’s no change without you, and it starts with questioning your own mindset.” – said Louisa, a lead vocalist of Rites
DIY, 80’s nostalgia, vinyl and fast guitars; that’s Rites. With three EP’s and over 100 (inter)national shows to their name, the tourvan of this hardcorepunk outfit is just getting started. Rites is not afraid to speak up about the current state of the world. Influenced by bands such as The Distillers, Cro-Mags, Turnstile and Paint It Black, Rites has created a signature sound. High energy hardcore with a punkrock twist!
