Atlanta artist Orchid Mantis has announced their second LP of 2025, titled In Airports, and shared the first single “Comedown Phase.” Known for bouncing between genres, the project blends lo-fi textures, dreamy indie rock, and experimental soundscapes. “Comedown Phase” recalls the atmospheric styles of DIIV, Friko, Wild Nothing, and A Beacon School, balancing introspective lyricism with lush instrumentation. Orchid Mantis has long cultivated a dedicated following for their emotionally immersive songwriting, and In Airports promises to expand that vision further. The single is available now on streaming platforms, offering a glimpse into the album’s hazy, genre-blurring direction.
