Blue Orchid Reaction – Atmosphere

After a critically acclaimed full-length album called Runt Pup Protector, an extended play release named 4 Chord Theory, and several singles like Almost Christmas, Escape To Plan, Sunset Claims, and Personal Revolution, Leeds-based quartet Blue Orchid Reaction returns with another exceptional single that will appeal to all the fans of new wave sound. Atmosphere embraces everything you dearly love about this particular genre, and Blue Orchid Reaction are such pros in combining best qualities of the eighties and nineties new wave music. However, this highly creative band doesn’t stop there. Quite the contrary, you’ll stumble upon some of the finest elements borrowed from indie rock, alternative, power pop, and other complementary music genres. Although it may seem like too many genres stacked into a singular track, Blue Orchid Reaction thought about everything while assembling this composition, so Atmosphere sounds charming from scratch to finish.

The band delivers a top-notch performance based on catchy themes, clean-sounding chord progressions, decorative leads, warm-sounding basslines, and energetic rhythmic sequences. Each instrument plays a significant role in shaping a calm, soothing, relaxing ambiance that offers a cathartic listening experience. Still, you’ll notice how the lead vocal harmonies and back vocals are centerpieces of Atmosphere, and this composition wouldn’t sound this good without them. Besides exploring all the vital elements of the eighties and nineties new wave, you’ll hear how Blue Orchid Reaction incorporates generous chunks of contemporary sound that enhances the Atmosphere on an entirely new level. It’s one of those ear-appealing, danceable, dynamic new wave songs that showcases how this particular genre can still sound fresh, unique, and entertaining even after all these years. Atmosphere is unquestionably a song that will brighten your day and end up on your indie playlist with such ease. You can check it out on all streaming services.
