Italian experimental indie outfit Leatherette return with their third full-length, Ritmo Lento, set for release November 28 via Bronson Recordings. The first single, Lovers Drifters Foreigners, shifts between haunted atmospheres, frenzied bursts, and post-jazz suspensions, a track that captures the exhilaration of unpredictability while blending punk energy with cosmic vision. After years of touring and acclaimed releases Fiesta (2022) and Small Talk (2024), the band chose to slow down and take full control of production, crafting a sound that explores the tension between chaos and stillness. The album’s title, meaning “Slow Rhythm,” reflects this push and pull: urgency versus pause, neurosis versus breath. Divided into two sides, Ritmo Lento offers six high-energy anthems and six reflective, meditative tracks, balancing raw immediacy with thoughtful introspection, an evocative new chapter from one of Italy’s most compelling indie acts.
