Descendents Announce “Milo Goes To College” Reissue Via Org Music

Few punk albums have shaped the genre like Descendents’ 1982 debut Milo Goes to College. Blending hardcore ferocity with infectious hooks and teenage angst, the record helped spark the birth of pop punk. Its legacy is undeniable, earning high rankings in Rolling Stone, Spin, and Pitchfork lists of essential punk albums. Now, Org Music and Descendents announce a fully restored reissue, arriving September 19 on LP, CD, and cassette. This release kicks off an ambitious reissue campaign of the band’s early classics, originally released on New Alliance and SST Records. Among the formats is a striking limited Punk Note edition, designed by John Yates in homage to the iconic Blue Note jazz aesthetic. Featuring deluxe packaging and new liner notes by Andrew Sacher (BrooklynVegan), the reissue celebrates an album that continues to resonate more than four decades after its release.
