Noise rock icon and Sonic Youth co-founder Kim Gordon has unveiled a new video for “BYE BYE 25!,” a reworked version of her track “Bye Bye” from the 2024 solo album The Collective. The reimagined single arrives with an urgent purpose—every cent of its proceeds will benefit NOISE FOR NOW, a nonprofit championing reproductive rights and healthcare access across the United States.
Directed with raw visual flair, the video amplifies Gordon’s signature minimalist cool while infusing the original with sharpened lyrical intensity and beat-driven atmosphere. “BYE BYE 25!” embraces the bold experimentalism that has defined Gordon’s recent solo work, blending indie aesthetics with an activist’s clarity of voice.
The release comes as Gordon continues to forge new sonic paths in her post-Sonic Youth career. “BYE BYE 25!” is more than a rework, it’s a rallying cry, harnessing indie music’s power for tangible social change.
