Celtic Punk titans The Rumjacks usher in the new year with their new single “Cold Like This” featuring vocals from Ken Casey of Dropkick Murphys. It’s the latest preview from their forthcoming album Dead Anthems, due out February 7th, 2025 via FOUR FOUR. “Loved being a part of this track with my old friends the Rumjacks,” shares Casey. “I love the band and the song and look forward to hearing the rest of the album” The song came to be by chance while walking home from a Boston bar with a windchill of -20F/-28C shares lead singer Mike Rivkees. “It was written in sea shanty format, and when I got home, it was stuck in my head from humming the chorus the whole time, so I knew I had to record it.”

The band’s forthcoming 6th LP follows their 2021 LP Hestia, which was lauded by Kerrang as “the complete package” full of “social commentary, lore and affecting storytelling.” Dead Anthems was recorded in Asbury Park, NJ and co-produced by The Rumjacks Mike Rivkees along with The Bouncing Souls founder Pete Steinkopf, who has lent his talent to albums from artists such as Beach Slang, The Menzingers, and Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem).  Fans can pre-order Dead Anthems HERE.
