Meet JB RAGE…the Nottingham, UK based and Jaded Mall Goth Emo solo artist whose electrifying debut single “Aubrey Plaza” is set to drop on January 31st, 2024. With a sound that echoes the rebellious spirit of 2000s Alternative Rock, JB RAGE is rewriting the rules of modern emo, blending Pop Punk, Grunge, and pure, unfiltered angst into an explosive new era of music.
A product of the early-2000s underground scene, JB RAGE was born out of a generation that lived for the dark, the misunderstood, and the loud. As a teen, he was never far from the nearest Blue Banana or hanging out at skateparks in oversized band tees, eyeliner smudged, and a heart full of angst. Influenced by legends like blink-182, Good Charlotte and Papa Roach, JB RAGE channels this golden era of emo and punk, crafting a sound that’s simultaneously nostalgic and groundbreaking.
His debut single, “Aubrey Plaza”, arrives at the perfect time—a raw, cathartic anthem for anyone who has ever wanted to achieve a dream. From its crunching guitar and bass to its catchy melodic lyrics, the track captures the fiery emotion of grunge and the energy of pop-punk, all while painting a cinematic picture of selling your soul for Rock & Roll. It’s music for anyone who’s ever found solace in a mixtape, or the solitude of their bedroom but with the ambition of a Rock Star.
But JB RAGE is more than just a nostalgic nod to the past—he’s a new voice for a new generation. With his distinct Mall Goth persona, he’s creating a space for listeners who grew up on MySpace playlists and CD collections but also crave something fresh, fierce, and deeply personal. His sound doesn’t just look back—it’s evolving the scene, fusing the rawness of grunge with modern indie sensibilities, and giving voice to the emo generation that never quite fit in.
January 31st marks the beginning of JB RAGE’s journey into the spotlight, and this debut is only a taste of what’s to come. His music speaks to the underdogs, the misfits, and anyone who feels a little too much. With his unique blend of angst, melody, and nostalgia, JB RAGE is poised to reignite the emo movement, one distorted guitar riff at a time. Stay tuned—JB RAGE is just getting started
