Available on all digital platforms as of today, October 15, 2024, “Crippled Crow” is the fourth single off Norwegian band Mayflower Madame’s upcoming highly anticipated third album titled “Insight” which will be released November 1st via their own label Night Cult Records in collaboration with Up In Her Room (UK) and Icy Cold Records (France).
Compared to the preceding tasters, this latest offering further elaborates their signature blend of edgy post-punk and lush shoegaze, adding elements of noise-rock and dark-wave. Fuelled by a commanding, forceful bass line and a vibrant drum beat, it takes you out on an intoxicating ride – from the haunting melodies of the verses through the fierce guitar cascades of the choruses and to the final redemption in the blistering outro.
This is the sound of longing and regret in the frost-ridden streets of Oslo combined with a burning desire for transformation and catharsis. Mayflower Madame’s new album Insight is due for release November 1st followed by a string of UK/EU dates.
Insight has been mixed and mastered by renowned Italian engineer Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, The Vacant Lots) and is promising to be their best release so far.
Mayflower Madame is Trond Fagernes (vocals, guitar, bass) and Ola J. Kyrkjeeide (drums). “Crippled Crow” also features contributions from Kenneth Eknes (synth) and Rune Øverby (guitar).
