Queens, NY band S.C.A.B. has recently announced a new 5-song EP, Rose Colored Glasses, out Oct. 25. “Caught My Eye” is the second single from it, out today, stream it HERE.
Frontman Sean Camargo offers some points of reference for the track:
“Noticing your own wandering eye. Exploring shame. Asking for a lot with little in return. Sharing a song with you. Non-monogamy. Fear of being seen. Thinking about someone else. FaceTime. Unemployment.”
Sean Camargo is concerned with the truth. As the songwriter and vocalist for Ridgewood, Queens band S.C.A.B, he searches for distortions and distractions from truth, and the interplay between truth and love. His songs are as much for him as they are for us. There’s a sincerity and vulnerability to these songs, all while keeping it light / tongue-planted-firmly-in-cheek. Over the past 5 years S.C.A.B.’s music has slowly developed to reflect this worldview; one created from an awareness of the interplay between truth, love and illusion, the great comedy of it all. With their forthcoming release Rose Colored Glasses EP, S.C.A.B. presents 5 songs about love, the shaky nature of reality, depression, songwriting, and being severely and acutely alive.
