The Trusted – Miracle Face

Southend on Sea-based indie quartet The Trusted is back with another excellent track that will immediately grab your attention and refuse to let go long after it ends. “Miracle Face” is their second standalone single this year, serving as a proper continuation of “Self Destruct,” another marvelous song you should immediately check out. However, the band showcases many innovations in writing, composing, arranging, and producing. It’s an outstanding piece that embraces all the fundamental elements of contemporary indie rock music, adorned with the additional sonic ingredients borrowed from indie pop and dream pop. It’s safe to say this style suits them well, as this band never ceases to amaze with their ideas and musicianship. Each segment of the song arrives with so many impressive vocal, sonic, and rhythmic maneuvers that will immediately become a staple of your indie playlist.

Through careful planning and clever songwriting, The Trusted delivered a masterpiece worth repeating over and over again. As soon as you press play, you’ll notice a perfect structure garnered with intricate segments, brilliant ideas, and marvelous orchestrations. Each section carries many sonic delicacies that will convince you to put this track among your favorites. The outstanding vocal performance is one of the main traits of this exceptional band. You’ll hear how these vocal harmonies command attention and guide your listening apparatus through an expansive sonic universe with such precision and finesse. In the meantime, the impressive vocal range seamlessly balances low, mid, and high notes with such ease, adding a touch of delicate complexity to an already lush ambiance. The way these vocal maneuvers complement instrumentations is nearly mindblowing, as together they create a cohesive whole that defines The Trusted’s sound. Also, it’s good to mention that the band added a vocoder effect over the vocals, decorating an already outstanding vocal performance to the max.

The guitars play a significant role in shaping such rich and luxurious ambiance. You’ll hear how the interplay between rhythm and lead guitars acts as a perfect backdrop for all the vocals to shine upon. The tastefully arranged and flawlessly performed riffs and chord progressions resonate on one side while the other shines with arpeggiated chord progressions, melodies, harmonies, themes, and leads. The generous servings of distortion create an ear-appealing rawness, abrasiveness, and fuzziness while serving as a perfect contrast to the clean production. Of course, this composition wouldn’t sound so powerful without complex, audible, warm-sounding basslines. You’ll notice how these low-ends roar beneath the guitar layers, offering more than necessary heaviness, clarity, and depth while binding all the orchestrations with drums. The exceptional drumming performance keeps everything together while dictating groove and tempo with moderate, well-accentuated beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics. Each band member plays a crucial role in this sonic equation, which sounds marvelous from beginning to end.

“Miracle Face” carries all the vital elements of indie rock while pushing the boundaries of the genre to the max. With otherwordly vocal performances, lush guitars, powerful basslines, and excellent drumming, these folks once again delivered a masterpiece worth revisiting over and over again. Their creativity, talent, and experience shine through every note and beat while their writing and composing skills showcase a fresh, unique, and innovative approach to this longevous genre. The Trusted is a band you should pay your utmost attention to because these experienced musicians know what they’re doing. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
