Dallas Punk Band Morocco Released “Shitheds” EP On Cluttered Desk Records

Morocco is Ben Sanchez (guitar,vocals), Bob Crash (Bass,vocals), and Forrest Cook (drums/not a lot of vocals). They are a lightning fast boy band from Dallas Texas. AKA The Mo’ Rock Boys, they are three shitheads bringing you the type of music we grew up with. Essentialist commodity punk. 

Previously the band released Cheap Mic Ep, and Been Smart Ben Dumb EP on Cluttered Desk Records, along with a stoner comedy video for Pro Crass Tin Nation which was shot by Forrest.

“Shitheds” releases May 21 on streaming platforms everywhere. “Shitheds” will be Morocco’s third EP on Cluttered Desk Records, and the first to feature bassist Bob Crash on the record who also showcases some of his songwriting ability in the songs “Livin’ in the City” and “Leftover Beer”.  Shitheds was recorded throughout the fall and winter of 2023-2024 at Cluttered Desk, except for the twelve string guitar on “Heaven is a Myth” which was recorded at the local Guitar Center. It was engineered and mixed By Ben Sanchez. The EP was mastered by underground icon Jack Conway at Enormous Door Mastering, who’s done albums for Fear, Riverboat Gamblers, Frozen Soul etc. etc. etc.

As for the album itself guitarist and recording engineer Ben Sanchez says, “It makes you ponder the old expression by Oscar Wilde, ‘Life imitates art far more than art imitates life.’ These are six songs that truely express who the band is as people. “
