Wild Horse – Keep On Moving Up

Wild Horse returns with another outstanding piece of sonic artistry that will appeal to anyone even remotely into exceptionally assembled music. “Keep On Moving Up” is more than a perfect continuation of “Wednesday Night Distractions” and “Attraction,” two marvelous songs this Brighton-based trio released this and last year. Written and composed by the frontman & principal songwriter, Jack Baldwin, and produced by Matt Leppanen and the remainder of the band, there are many reasons why these folks have been included at BBC’s “Tracks of The Day” & played on multiple shows. This time, these immensely creative musicians combined their highly recognizable indie pop aesthetics with the elements borrowed from many different but complementary music genres. You’ll immediately stumble upon vividly hearable sonic ingredients taken from funk, jazz, soul rock, indie rock, pop, and big band music. Of course, their experimentations resulted in a magnificent number worth repeating over and over again.

“Keep On Moving Up” unquestionably differs from their previous works but also carries their recognizable sound. They somehow merged everything they dearly love about indie sound with the vividly hearable eighties and early nineties musical aesthetics, so “Keep On Moving Up” carries something for anyone, and it will undoubtedly appeal to anyone looking for flawlessly executed music. Of course, the lead vocalist shines in the limelight with his impressive vocal range that immediately strikes the listening apparatus, expertly levitating above low, mid, and high notes. These mesmerizing vocal harmonies will retain your attention and guide you through every segment, but you’ll also notice how every note delivered decorates the instrumentations. The funky chord progressions and accentuations supplied by the continuous strumming over the strings shape the perfect backdrop for all the vocal maneuvers while the adequate synth and piano leads, themes, melodies, and harmonies add a touch of complexity. Also, it’s good to mention that the brass section enhances everything on an entirely new level during the choruses.

Of course, Wild Horse thought about the rhythm section, and the masterfully constructed low-ends roar from beneath, adding tremendous power to the mix. Like the remainder of the orchestrations, the drumming also shines with exceptionally arranged, well-accentuated beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive maneuvers. Wild Horse burst with tremendous power during the entire song, demonstrating how indie music can still resonate with fresh, unique, innovative ideas and brilliant musicianship. These folks stand out from the majority of the scene thanks to the implementation of the eighties and the nineties vibes. They know how to add more flavor to indie music by infusing funk, jazz, and synth rock while staying loyal to the initial sonic direction. You should check “Keep On Moving Up” immediately because there’s no better indie song currently on the scene than this. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
