Game Changer – Just Sayin’

Just Sayin‘” is the latest single by Game Changer, a Canadian-based alt-pop duo. It’s the introductory piece into “Sidescroller,” their recent extended play release. Lyrically, the song talks about getting past the things in life that can weigh you down. Soundwise, perhaps Game Changer explores the fundamentals of alternative pop music, but it’s not the only music genre you’ll stumble upon this ear-appealing sonic journey. Quite the contrary, these experienced musicians fully stacked their latest single with some of the finest properties borrowed from many different but complementary music genres like indie rock, indie pop, pop rock, soft rock, etc. They use these additional elements as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details to uplift this song on an entirely new level while simultaneously remaining loyal to the primary sonic direction. Therefore, these experimentations with additional elements resulted in an exceptional number that will suit even the pickiest listeners and beyond.

As soon as you press play, you’ll notice how Game Changer fully stacked their latest single with some of the best ideas and exceptional musicianship you’ll hear on the alternative and indie scene. They invested all their experience, knowledge, skills, and talent into it, resulting in a song worth repeating over and over again. You’ll undoubtedly stumble upon exceptional vocal performance that guides your listening apparatus from scratch to finish. Even the main theme is based upon memorable whistles, which perfectly suit the song’s aesthetics. The tasteful balance between low, mid, and high notes emphasizes all the segments and instrumentations with ease, holding the listener’s attention during the entire track. Of course, the guitars reign supreme with all those arpeggiated and regular chord progressions, hypnotic themes, catchy melodies, and harmonies. The interplay of guitars acts as a perfect backdrop, immensely helping vocals to shine bright in the limelight.

You’ll also notice how equally complex, vividly hearable, warm-sounding basslines roar right beneath the guitars by offering more heaviness, clarity, and depth. The bass also acts as a binding element that glues guitars and drums together. Of course, this song wouldn’t be complete without the outstanding drumming performance based upon tastefully assembled, well-accentuated, robust beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics. The drummer dictates groove and tempo, but also keeps the remainder of the orchestrations in line with his performance. Everything sounds top-notch from scratch to finish. Game Changer created a memorable, hypnotic, catchy composition with so many marvelous moments. Its calm, soothing, relaxing, ethereal ambiance will immediately draw you in and refuse to let go, so don’t be surprised if you catch yourself whistling the theme long after the song ends. You should put “Just Sayin'” and Game Changer because these folks and their latest single deserve your utmost attention. The song is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
