Chandra – I’ll Be There

I’ll Be There” is the latest single by Chandra, a Bristol-based singer-songwriter. It’s his first single in 2024 that serves as an adequate follow-up to “Smile (No Fox Gibbon” and “Pretty,” two excellent songs released last year. However, Chandra introduces many innovations, especially in songwriting, composing, and arranging. Perhaps this profoundly creative artist still explores the fundamentals of pop-rock music, but “I’ll Be There” carries many elements borrowed from different but complementary music genres like alternative and indie rock. These experimentations with universal approaches to songwriting unquestionably work to the advantage of the song, as Chandra showcases a fresh and unique sound that suits him well.

As soon as you press play, you’ll notice a cheerful, vigorous, euphoric ambiance achieved by stacking many layers of flawlessly recorded instrumentations. The guitars reign supreme throughout the entire track by offering tastefully distorted riffs, chord progressions, harmonies, melodies, and leads. These dualities between lead and rhythm guitar shine in the limelight, providing a perfect backdrop for Chandra‘s outstanding vocal performance. He knows how to deliver exceptional vocal harmonies that glide over low, mid, and high notes with such ease. Another detail worth mentioning is his ability to expertly decorate every segment and instrumentation with his singing techniques, making this composition even more pleasant to the listening apparatus. Also, it’s nearly mindblowing how his voice and guitars blend harmoniously, creating a calm, soothing, relaxing, ethereal ambiance.

Of course, Chandra thought about the rhythm section as well, and you’ll notice how the bass guitars roar beneath the rich and luxurious guitar layers, offering more clarity, depth, and heaviness to the mix. The cleverly constructed, well-accentuated, flawlessly performed rhythmic sequences based upon moderate beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive maneuvers dictate groove and pace but also keep the remainder of the orchestrations in line. Chandra paid attention to the rhythm section as much as he paid to the vocals and guitars, so everything sounds top-notch from scratch to finish. It’s also nearly mindblowing how every instrument plays a significant role in this sonic equation without spoiling or overwhelming the remainder of the band. This detail exemplifies Chandra’s writing, composing, arranging, recording, and producing abilities, and positions him as one of the most creative singer-songwriters in the contemporary alternative, indie, and pop rock music scenes.

You should put “I’ll Be There” on your radar as soon as possible because Chandra invested all his experience, knowledge, skills, and talent in it. His efforts resulted in a mesmerizing pop-rock track that will immediately end up on your playlist. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
